Capital Campaign Update March 1 2018

Dear SFX Family,                                                                                           March 1, 2018
It is with tremendous pleasure and great pride in the SFX community that we announce the successful completion of this month’s $500,000 matching gift challenge! Together, we have raised over $500,000 in our efforts to unlock the match—construction will begin this month, and every dollar pledged over this period will be invested at 9th & Linden in 2018. Thank you!
Because pledges continued to arrive well into the evening last night, we remain busy processing donations and tallying our total gift collected through February 28th. With this in mind, we have elected to postpone publishing our total raised until we have given every gift the opportunity to be included in our matching pledge update. Thank you for your patience as we work responsibly to be good stewards of your generosity. We expect to share a final accounting of these exciting results early next week.
We have much to celebrate! On behalf of our entire faith and learning community, thank you for stepping forward and making a difference to the great benefit of all parishioners, school and PREP students, and many active ministries. Please take a moment to review our final thermometer update here. In particular, we invite you to reflect on the words of our matching gift donor and on the power of giving, its enduring impact on our culture, and the importance of modeling stewardship. We are all part of the fabric of a diverse and timeless SFX tapestry. Today, we added a particularly meaningful stitch that will tell our story to future generations of the faithful on Linden Avenue.
Please join us at our annual parish St. Patrick’s Day Party in the gym on March 17th as we celebrate together one final time before construction begins and we make way for new and expanded spaces that promise to transform our campus in powerful ways.
We got this done, SFX!
With warmth and gratitude,

Jean Spence
