When are sessions held?
PREP is in session on Sunday mornings from 9:00am – 10:10am September through May. Sessions are offered for children First through Eighth grade.
Take a look at the 2018 – 2019 PREP calendar.

When do children prepare for the sacraments?
Preparation for the reception of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation is the focus of the second and eighth grade curriculum. All candidates of the parish come together with other parents and candidates preparing to receive these sacraments for additional sessions and experiences. The celebrations of these sacraments are parish events.

Are there other opportunities for the children and their families to come together?
PREP activities include a Christmas Concert and family gatherings in Advent and Lent.

How is the tuition used?
Tuition collected helps cover some of the costs of the program. These include textbooks, staff salaries and benefits, administrative expenses, library and AV materials, session supplies, and one tenth of the cost of heat, electricity and maintenance for the education building. Because tuition does not cover all of the expenses, PREP is significantly subsidized by the parish every year. St. Francis Xavier is blessed with a beautiful Church, wonderful liturgy, and outstanding programs that reach many within our parish and in the wider Catholic and local community. Your tuition payments and your regular contributions to parish collections help finance all of the wonderful works of our parish.

What payment options are available?
Full payment of tuition with your registration form is appreciated.
PayPal is available at the time of electronic registration or a check to the Parish Office, 524 9th Street. You may also choose the installment payment plan section on the form. No child is denied religious education for financial reasons. Scholarships are available for any families who request them and all requests are kept confidential. There is also a place on the form for donations to our scholarship fund. All donations are greatly appreciated.
