The third grade curriculum focuses on the Catholic Church. The children learn aboutthe Marks of the Church (one, holy, catholic, and apostolic) and study the Apostle’s Creed in order to learn more about our Catholic beliefs. They explore the different ministries within the Church, the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and how the seven sacraments deepen our relationship with God. They also learn how the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity are the foundation for moral choices they make as they grow to be like Jesus.
