Important information regarding communion visits and pastoral care of the sick in the local hospitals. Please read carefully!
Due to intensified national privacy concerns at hospitals and medical facilities, it has become increasingly difficult for our Priests and Ministers of Care to provide communion calls and pastoral visits to our parishioners that are hospitalized locally.
You are very important to the pastoral staff at St. Francis. To assist us in providing quality care to those in need, please note the following information. The patient or family must take the initiative to have spiritual needs met.
If you would like to be anointed prior to a planned hospital visit, please call the parish office in advance, or request an anointing as instructed in our Sunday bulletin following the liturgy. Anointing can also be requested in the hospital.
When you are being admitted to the hospital it is critical that you or a loved one identifies your religious affiliation, including the name of the parish. Either you or a loved one should indicate you are requesting Catholic Pastoral Care from those available in the hospital to provide this care.
The patient or family can also contact the parish or the Pastoral Care Office for spiritual support at the hospital during their hospital stay.
