News & Updates First Steps in Christ will begin its Winter 2008 Session on January 20, 2008. First Steps will meet during the 10:15AM Mass (about 10:15 - 11:15). is First Steps in Christ? First Steps in Christ is an exciting religious program for our
preschool-aged children. At
this age, children are very open to the idea of a loving and caring God.
We explore this theme through gospel stories, music, puppet play,
crafts, and prayer. Who is it for?
First Steps is geared
towards preschool-aged children. When
and where does First Steps meet? First Steps meets during the 10:15 mass, about 10:15-11:15. For locations and dates, please check the calendar. Is attendance mandatory? Attendance is not mandatory, but we find that most children want to attend each class. The material presented in class builds on the previous class’ teaching so good attendance is encouraged. Can
I attend with my child?
While you are welcome to help or observe at any class, attending
class with your child is not necessary for most children. What
is expected of parents? First Steps is a parent-run program and relies on parental support. We ask that parents volunteer to assist during at least one class each semester. In addition, we have two evening planning meetings per semester and encourage you to attend one of them. How can I get more involved with First Steps?
