Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is one of the seven sacraments of the Church. Christian marriage is a promise of love between a man and a woman. Their love is to represent the love of Christ for the Church: a love that is faithful, permanent, exclusive and procreative.

The call to marriage is a vocation just as sacred as the priesthood, and it requires constant work and thoughtful dedication. For a uniquely Catholic perspective on every aspect of marriage, visit For Your Marriage, a resource provided by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.

We want to help you to plan and celebrate your marriage here at St. Francis. There are both Church and county legal requirements, personal marriage preparations and readiness concerns, and liturgical preparations for the actual ceremony.

Contact Fr. Sheridan for more information. It is recommended that you begin your preparations for marriage at least six months before the actual date.
